| This was a messy project!!! We started with blowing up a balloon and taping it to a plastic cup for stability. We then used a mixture of glue, water, and tissue paper and applied it to the top half of the balloon. We did two coats. We let the tissue paper dry for about an hour and a half then popped the balloons, then let them rest on the plastic cup to take their shape as they fully dried. The kids are excited to take these ones home! |

This week all elementary students participated in an Albion Elementary tradition, creating paper snowflakes. The first week after holiday break each student cuts two paper snowflakes, one to decorate the art room, and one to take home. My favorite part is watching the amazement on some of the students faces as they unfold their snowflake.
