| Kindergarten students are learning about Line. A line is 2 points connected OR a dot that goes for a walk. We learned that there are over a million types of lines and some of them have names like zigzag, wavy, straight, horizontal, etc. We even learned how to create some with a pipe cleaner. We also learned the difference between 2D & 3D art. We looked at images of different sculptures including the crayons right outside the front of the school! We know that a sculpture is something standing that we can walk around to see many sides, and 2D art is flat and has only one side. After learning all this the students began creating their own Line Sculpture out of strips of paper. Take a look at the left for teacher and student examples. They'll be coming home this week! |
